WEDOLiT FN 1490-850 is a highly viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for tube drawing and other cold forming processes of aluminium and non-ferrous metals. The undiluted product is usually applied by brushes or by means of rollers.

WEDOLiT™ FN 1872-50

Reactive drawing oil

WEDOLiT FN 1872-50 is a water-insoluble, reactive drawing oil, based on special phosphoric acid esters, which creates an iron phosphate layer on iron and steel parts. The product is free of chlorine, sulphur or nitrites.

  • The product is used in a heated bath with a temperature of TBath = 60°C ± 5°C
  • After 10 - 15 min, a sufficient film should have been developed on the tube surface (residues of lime- or carbon deposits must be removed preliminary)
  • It is important to keep the water content in the product at a value of 1 - 1.7%, to form uniform phosphate layers on the tube surface
  • The product offers a short-term corrosion protection (max. a few days)
  • The pipes can be cleaned after drawing with alkaline cleaners, solvents or bright annealing


WEDOLiT FN 2451-150

Semisynthetic forming oil

WEDOLiT FN 2451-150 is a medium viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for wire drawing and other cold forming processes, e.g. deep drawing, extrusion or thread forming, of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The undiluted product is usually applied by brushes or rollers.

WEDOLiT FN 6870-170 is a medium viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for deep drawing and other cold forming processes of steel (e.g. for auto bodies). Additionally, the product is suitable as a spot lubricant for thread cutting or blind hole drilling. The undiluted product is usually applied by spraying, dipping, brushes or by means of rollers.

The product meets the requirements of the test procedure according to VDA 230-213.

WEDOLiT FN 8471 is a chlorine free, pasty, water-insoluble lubricant for cold forming processes (e.g. pilgering) of high alloyed steels. The product is usually applied by brushes or by means of rollers.

  • Pigments will remain on the surface after annealing and should be removed (e.g. by pickling with HCl or HNO3) before further processing

WEDOLiT FN 8830 is a chlorine free, pasty, water-insoluble lubricant for cold forming processes (e.g. pilgering) of high alloyed steels. The product is usually applied on the outer diameter by brushes or by means of rollers.

WEDOLiT FN 8850-90 is a medium viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for tube drawing and other cold forming operations of steel. Due to the fact that the product also offers corrosion protection, no additional treatment is necessary (for short term storage). The undiluted product is usually applied by spraying, brushes or by means of rollers.

WEDOLiT FW 6550-165

Stamping and Forming Medium

WEDOLiT FW 6550-165 is a synthetic, mineral oil and chlorine-free, highly additivated punching and forming medium. The EP additives ensure a pressure-resistant lubricating film, even in difficult machining processes.

  • Suitable for deep-drawing, extrusion, punching and cutting processes not only on steels, but also on stainless steels
  • Undiluted by brush or felt roller and can be easily washed off with water
  • Does not contain any insoluble pigments such as graphite or molybdenum disulfide


WEDOLiT N 22-3

Prelube for deep drawing and stamping

WEDLiT N 22-3 is a thixotropic, non water soluble, deep drawing agent, which was developed for cold forming of coated carbon steels. It is especially applicable for electro galvanised zinc-, zinc nickel coated- and aluminised-sheets. Also good for aluminium and aluminium alloys. The product can be applied by spraying, flooding or rolling.

Fulfils the requirements of all German automotive manufacturers according to VDA-213 and VW-A001, and has been approved by all VDA members.

  • Applications at ambient temperatures possible
  • A preheating of the oil to approximately 40 - 50°C is possible without the loss of the thixotropic effect after cooling
  • Acts at the same time as a corrosion protection agent, and therefore a post treatment of the drawn sheets is not necessary
  • An agent stable film is formed after drawing
  • Can be removed with organic solvents or water soluble, mild alkaline industrial cleaning agents, even after long storage periods
  • After grease removal, excellent phosphating is possible
