TRIM® 229

Corrosion-inhibiting Synthetic

TRIM 229 is a synthetic coolant that delivers maximum chemical corrosion inhibition on ferrous materials with no residual film at the lowest possible cost. TRIM 229 is often used in surface grinding where maximum cooling and minimum foam are desirable. TRIM 229 is also used in other situations including: water tables on plasma torches, leak detection dip tanks, abrasive cut-off machines, and water-jet cutting systems.

Will not form ammonia when grinding cast iron and allows graphite to float and prevents swarf from clinkering when grinding cast iron. Contains no sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, or other halogens.

    TRIM 9106CS is a synthetic cutting and grinding fluid concentrate. It is intended for situations where high heat removal, broad chemical compatibility, and maximum sump life are desired. TRIM 9106CS is particularly suited for surface grinding, turning, and milling of cast iron, mild steel, and many nonferrous materials. It is frequently very successful in central coolant delivery systems, critical path machines or systems where predictable performance is the critical issue.

Additionally, this is one of the few products that can be recommended, with the use of special precautions, for machining magnesium and magnesium die cast material.

    Master STAGES™ NOCOR S1 is a synthetic, water soluble, ferrous corrosion inhibitor/rinse for short-term storage or shipment. Effective at concentrations from 3%-15% in water, it provides a very thin, water soluble protective surface. NOCOR S1 is very low foaming for use in spray cabinets and can also be used as a vibratory finishing or burnishing compound. NOCOR products do not contain nitrites or barium compounds.

    Portable XYBEX systems are available in single and double compartment configurations. In the single-compartment system, the Yellow Bellied Sump Sucker pumps dirty coolant, chips, and fines from the machine tool sump and through a filter removing the solids. With the solids removed, the fluid is returned to the sump and the machine tool resumes production. Then, filtered fluid can be centrifuged to remove tramp oils in a side stream operation while the machine tool is operating.

    With the new, double compartment portable XYBEX system, machine sumps are emptied and vacuumed into one side of the system. Clean replacement fluid, available from the clean product storage compartment of the system, is used to refill the machine immediately and return it to production. As soon as the machine tool is back on-line, the centrifuge can be started, transferring the retained fluid from the dirty product side to the clean side. As the fluid passes through the centrifuge; solids, tramp oils, and other extraneous oils are removed from the metalworking fluid, leaving only clean, oil-free, recycled coolant on the clean side of the machine. The portable XYBEX system then can be wheeled to the next machine tool for tank side fluid recycling.
