Synthetics Cutting & Grinding Fluids

A true solution synthetic fluid will be clear with a particle size of less than 0.000001mm (0.00000004"). It will be an excellent coolant but will have no lubricity. It will typically have hard water tolerance.

A surface active synthetic fluid will be translucent to clear. It will contain wetting agents, which lower the surface tension of the fluid and enhance the lubricity. It will have good rust inhibiting properties, and although it will have a tendency to foam, this should not present a major concern.

TRIM<sup>®</sup> 9106

TRIM® 9106 is a clear, virtually odorless, synthetic coolant with excellent heat dissipating and corrosion inhibiting qualities. This product is recommended for grinding operations on cast iron, aluminum, and steels. TRIM 9106 will not form ammonia when grinding cast iron and allows graphite to float and prevents swarf from clinkering when grinding cast iron. TRIM 9106 contains no sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, or other halogens.
